spiritual warfare

We must understand that satan has launched an all-out assault on the Church in these last

days, he has but one goal and that is to divide the Church. Besides the normal everyday pressures of life, we now must deal with this pandemic, failing economy, violence in the streets aimed at law enforcement, government buildings, small business, we can’t trust the news media any longer, the last election was a joke, and now the government wants to stop the churches from singing, praying aloud, allowing only 25% of the membership to attend church services, eventually closing down our Churches.

satan’s plan is to get us focused on the problems instead of the solutions, by taking our attention off of the Word of God. It is the old “Trojan Horse” move.

How many hours have we spent watching the news, discussing, arguing and debating all these issues compared to praying, studying God’s Word, confessing God’s word, and being in the House of God? We are becoming “virtual believers.” If we are not careful, satan can use even the strongest Christian to do his bidding.

Matt.16:16 “Peter answered and said, thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

Vs.17 “Jesus answered…flesh & blood (the natural) did not reveal it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven (the spiritual).” Just a few minutes later in Vs.22 “Then Peter took Him (manhandled Jesus) and began to rebuke Him (reprimanded Jesus). Then Jesus said to Peter “get the behind me satan.” satan had used Peter to get at Jesus; Notice that Jesus didn’t address Peter, but addressed satan who used Peter, and if we are not careful, we can fall into the same trap as Peter.

Rom.6:16 “know ye not that whom ye yield yourselves to obey, his servants ye are…” We are made in the image of God, we are a speaking spirit with great power, if satan can get us to think evil, we will speak evil and our actions will be evil. When we get angry, we attract every evil work. Every action we take, will release the power of God in our life or it will open the door to satan.

James 1:20 “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.”

James 3:16 “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

But our God tells us how to overcome these attacks;

Eph.6:10-14 “…be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”

Let’s take a look at what we are up against;

Vs.12 For we wrestle (hand to hand combat) not against flesh & blood (people), but against; principalities, powers, rulers of darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places.’

satan wants us to focus on people and not the root of the problem, himself. When we get angry with people, we open the door for all this demonic activity.

Until next time, keep your face in the wind and your kickstand up.

To be found faithful,

Pastor Ron
